Hands in Clay
September 5th, 2015, 10am-6pm
Heartland Hands in Clay is a masterful exhibit at Terre Pottery, 4775 County Road P39; part of the Washington County Heritage Festival in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska.
Restore your mind and soul on the first day of Labor Day weekend by wandering this country studio setting just north of Omaha. This is a palette to delight all senses: The visual wonder of nature complimenting beautiful, functional and scuptural ceramic art, the accompanying sounds of live music from a UNO Chamber Orchestra violinist-cellist duo, and the tastes of savory hors d'oeuvers created by Jean Beckman, owner of Blair's Our Specialtea. Four potters from the Hot Shops are taking part with three other area potters; from the hands of these seven artists breathe beauty and interest into everyday life.
Don't forget to visit the Hot Shops Pottery studio any day of the week.
