There are moments that remind us why we do what we do — and October 10th was one of them.
Art Factory: After Dark was everything we hoped for and more. The building pulsed with energy, molten metal glowed in the forge, laughter and music spilled through the hallways, and creativity was everywhere you turned. It was the kind of night our city needed, one filled with joy, connection, and the spark that happens when people come together to make and experience art.
When we said, “Let the Hot Shops be the place that lifts you up,” we meant it — and wow, did we all rise together. The world feels heavy sometimes, but inside these walls, there was warmth, creativity and community.
This event was a celebration of everything the Hot Shops stands for: artists sharing their talents, people creating side by side, and a city that believes in the power of art to connect and remind us what’s possible.
To our artists — what you do matters. Creating matters. Teaching others to create matters. Through your work, you help people rediscover joy, curiosity, and care for one another. The building came alive because of you.
To our attendees — thank you for showing up, for saying yes to something a little different, and for jumping into the creative chaos with us. Your support makes it possible for us to keep the fires burning (literally and figuratively).
To our partners — Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Kros Strain Brewing, Coneflower Creamery, and Chef Michael Rhoades — you fueled an unforgettable evening. Your contributions helped us craft an experience that people will remember, talk about, and return for.
