Hot Shops Spring Open House

Since 2001, the annual Hot Shops Art Center’s Open House has become an Omaha favorite. Our 80+ artists in 50+ studios warmly invite you to visit their spaces, view their very newest artwork and learn how they create them!

The artwork created ranges from drawings, paintings, prints, photography and digital imagery to sculptures, installations, pottery, glass art, weaving, custom furniture, and clay, iron, brass, and aluminum cast architectural pieces. There will be artist demonstrations, gallery exhibits and more! 

Spring Open House

DEMONSTRATIONS

Bronze pouring, clay work, iron forging, and glass blowing are taking place in the south side of the building, plus many of the artists will also be demonstrating their work in the studios, such as painting, sculpture, and photography…

GALLERIES and WALLS

Omaha Public School art teachers and students will be exhibiting in the galleries. The entire building will be filled with our member artists best work! Follow our events link for complete listings of upcoming and current shows.

Refreshments

Food vendors display their arts at the Shops in our Event Space. Bang! Catering is a usual suspect at open houses; they’ll have a few options for you.

Parking

There is limited street parking around the Hot Shops Art Center. During an open house parking is available around The Mastercraft building parking lot just north of 13th and Nicholas Streets.

Please make note of the parking lots reserved for the apartment building just west of the Hot Shops. Do NOT park there, They will tow your car!
