Communities thrive when everyone is included. For the month of September, the Hot Shops invited the community to bring their ideas, dreams and what ifs and create their own artwork inside the Nicholas Street Gallery.
The gallery was transformed into a working studio. Participants were invited to observe, interpret, record their energy, and create through a variety of mediums. Hundreds of visitors stopped by three creation stations that included coloring, still life and 3D clay creation. Just as the wood, brick, glass, and steel record the spirit of our city, the clay, paint, and crayons recorded the spirit of each individual maker.
Participants that missed the closing reception on Sunday, Sept. 26 are invited to stop by the office, Monday-Friday 10 a.m. -5 p.m. to pick up remaining art through the month of October.
