Jackie Jacober
Jackie Jacober is an established artist working primarily in colorful mixed media. Her practice is deeply rooted in telling stories of resilience and humanism mixed with spiritual concepts.
Jackie has degrees in both Studio Art and Art Education. She has had a love for teaching others from 2000 until present day. Her passion is helping students express their authentic voice. She is known to be creative, spunky, humorous, and spiritual.
With certificates in Trauma-Informed Expressive Arts Level One and Nature Based Expressive Arts from the Trauma-Informed Practices and Expressive Arts Therapy Institute, Jackie uses Intentional Creativity to help others. She instructs us to use art to reconnect to the "real us". Jackie incorporates movement, music, aromatherapy in the art process and takes us on a journey instead of a “how to” class model.
Artist Statement
As an established artist working primarily in mixed media, my practice is deeply rooted in telling stories of resilience and humanism blended with spiritual concepts. Influenced by journaling, meditation, nature walks, taking photos, and music, I have developed a distinctive soulful approach that sets my work apart in the contemporary art landscape.
In the sacred space between creating art and telling personal stories, I discover the profound truth of my artistic journey. Like a prayer to connect with the audience and create a healing ripple, each piece resonates with the spiritual echoes of my creative process. I also like to infuse a little humor.
The intersection of mixed media and telling stories of human experience remains central to my practice, advancing my mission to teach classes helping others tap into their own creative expression.
Every day I discover something new about working as an art educator and understanding creating art and healing for others. I now teach Intentional Creativity. Thanks to trauma informed practice, my classes include journaling, meditation, nature walks, taking photos, yoga, aromatherapy, and music to connect to the art making process. This allows the creative channel to open and create healing energy, teaching others in ways I never imagined before. Authenticity is my jam, and I am saving you a seat.
