My studio practice consists of problem solving with a variety of fine art and craft materials. The seed for this method began when, as a young child, my grandparents gave me scraps from their projects. Sequins and beads kept in a plastic butter container were sparkly raw materials. Scraps of fabric and wood yielded all manner of possibilities. Studio 306 has been my playground since 2001. Over the years I have had the privilege of meeting so many diverse artists and seeing the best of Omaha’s creative community. My college education helped me understand the formal aspects of art and the design process, but my formation as an artist really began with Bernie and Leo.
