Art Journal Fun and Foundations 1 & 2 Class (2 Sessions)

Week 1: Play and Fun with Foundation Pages: Four techniques will be explored to add color fields to empty pages quickly! We will use acrylic paints with other materials and explore your gravitation to color.
Painting without paint: Three additional techniques with mixed media materials will add
layers to existing pages, or fill empty ones! Let’s try new things!

Week 2: Focus and Feel: We will add layers and dimensions with collage materials, and learn a few drawing techniques to bring forward focal images on the page.
Text and Storytelling-The Magic of Words: Experimenting with handwriting and font, we will use writing prompts to add narrative to our pages. There will be several techniques to try and play on the page. We are more than just a story; much larger than that.

Bring a sketchbook (8×10 or larger spiral bound is recommended) All other materials are provided.
