$189

Two-day class. Saturday, Sept. 19 and Sunday Sept. 20. Noon – 5 p.m. both days.

Featuring guest artist Kristin Sullivant

Step into the captivating world of electroforming, where artistry and alchemy come together to transform ordinary objects into heirloom-quality copper treasures. This immersive beginner workshop is designed for makers who appreciate handcrafted beauty and want to explore the timeless process of growing copper through electricity.

Guided step by step, you’ll learn the essential techniques of electroforming, from selecting and preparing organic materials and gemstones to applying conductive coatings, understanding the electroforming bath, and achieving a rich, lasting copper finish. Along the way, you’ll gain insight into the science behind the process while developing the confidence to continue creating in your own studio.

Every participant will create a unique piece that reflects their individual style—no two results are ever the same. Whether you’re a jeweler, artist, or simply drawn to slow, intentional craftsmanship, this workshop offers a thoughtful introduction to a medium that beautifully blends nature, design, and metal.

$189. All tools and materials are provided. No prior experience is necessary—only curiosity and a love for creating with your hands.

    Meet the Instructor:

Kristin Sullivant is a self-taught jewelry artist based in Joplin, Missouri, who has been creating electroformed jewelry for more than eight years. Inspired by the natural world, she transforms organic elements into distinctive wearable art that captures the textures, forms, and quiet beauty found in nature.

Her work ranges from casual, everyday pieces to bold statement jewelry, each handcrafted through the intricate process of electroforming. This technique allows copper to grow around carefully selected natural materials, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate both strength and delicacy. Every design reflects Kristin’s appreciation for the organic world and her belief that jewelry should feel as unique as the person wearing it.

Over the years, Kristin’s work has been featured in several local galleries and is available through two artist cooperatives, where she enjoys connecting with collectors who value handcrafted artistry. She continues to refine her craft while creating jewelry that invites people to carry a small piece of nature with them every day.
