Four sessions total.
The Hot Shops would like to invite you to participate in a new program where you will have the opportunity to work along-side a small group of individuals who want to learn the creative process while building relationships with others. You will learn a variety of techniques and mediums including, woodworking, painting, and pottery.
The sessions will be held as four collaborative art experiences called Bridge Builders. In each session you will make one item to keep, and work on collaborative pieces. The last session will include a meal, where you will eat on a table and use cups and platters that you created together.
When you cross the bridge through the creative process, you see, hear and understand others. Art is a tool that can be used to help people find their voice and help them build meaningful relationships with others. In these sessions you will have the opportunity to learn about others who may not have had the opportunity to interact with before.
This program is free thanks to educational program grants.
