Prerequisite: This is an intermediate class and students should have the ability to wedge clay and operate an electric pottery wheel.

Every beginning wheel-throwing student is introduced to the cylinder form. In this class we will explore various approaches to plates and bowls and what distinguishes them from cylinder derived pottery forms. Learn low coup, high coup, and rim or gallery style plate forms and strategies for increasing their size into platters. Various trimming approaches and rim treatments will be presented as well as glazing solutions specific to these forms.
Ages: 16 & Up
$200. All firings, glazes, and 25lbs of clay are included.
