Nurture your imagination, wake up the creativity within. Learn the basics of watercolor (materials & techniques) while experimenting with techniques for flow or control, scale (see what feels better – tiny & details or giant & fluid), mark making & patterns for brain focus/stress release, and travel journaling. Mindful painting lets you feel childlike joy without self judgement or doubt. Water flows, paint flows with it, you simply follow. You’ll leave knowing what you love so you can create your own sanctuary to find peace any day, time, or place. Watercolor is a forgiving medium that waits patiently if you can’t show up often or don’t have a dedicated art space.
Materials provided for you to play with – watercolor & gouache (pans versus tubes), all kinds of pens & brush pens (over or under the paint), crayon resist, water soluble graphite sticks & pencils, and journal books or loose paper. Supply list provided for all the things we will play with so you can set up your own meditation escape which will always be waiting for you when you can find a few minutes in your day. No art or meditation skills required.
