Youth Sew a Dress

A beginner/intermediate sewing class for kids.

I will assume that your child knows how to use a sewing machine. If you have taken my Learn to Sew class – you are ready to make a dress!

During this class learn how to use a sewing pattern to make a dress. We will use the pdf Style Arc pattern called the Pixie Dress. Due to copyright issues, the patterns are not included in the cost of the class and I will send directions on how to purchase and download the pattern when you sign up.

Over the three sessions of the class, we will learn about reading a sewing pattern, choosing the right size for you, cutting the fabric and sewing the dress. this will include sewing seams, hems, making elastic cuffs and attached a button and loop closure.

This class is the perfect entry into sewing your own clothing.

This class is held for 3 hours on three afternoons:
Saturday, August 5 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Saturday, August 12 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Saturday, August 19 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

There are 4 spots available in the class.

*The cost of this class does not include the cost of the pattern, fabric and notions. I will send an email with the information on what to bring to class prior to the start of class.

*You may bring your own sewing machine, or use one from the studio

There are no refunds on this class. Email Cindi prior to the class being held you are unable to come and you can transfer your place to another date of the same class.
