Through it all, creativity elevates, inspires and endures. When you support the Hot Shops, you’re investing in the arts, art-education, and the life- and community-changing power of creativity. 

Be that spark with us! Donate to the Hot Shops on Giving Tuesday, December 1. This will be our very first Giving Tuesday – a chance for us to regain the momentum that COVID-19 slowed, expand our creative programming, and sustain our educational mission well into the future.

We are artists/educators passionate about sharing our craft.

• With your partnership, we can achieve our educational goals, which include:
• Providing 300 educational programs in a wide array of media,
• Special programming to connect and inspire the creative community,
• Making art instruction more accessible to all, and
• Bringing groups together to learn about each other and build relationships through the creative process.

Beyond that, The Hot Shops – by design – provides opportunities for guests observe and interact with 70+ working artists in their studios across a number of mediums, from painting to glass blowing, pottery and many mediums in between.

Come and experience how the art is made. See the tools, ideas on sketchpads, scale models, mistakes and do-overs. Hear about the genesis of the artists’ ideas. Feel the heat from the glass furnace. Watch potters bring a lump of clay to life or the sculptor pour the molten bronze.

We are a living museum; a community space for creative experiences.

There is no question historical museums are important; cultural gems where you can see finished art and read plaques describing the pieces. But imagine what happens when you see the artist-at-work. Your imagination expands, and you begin to think about the possibilities and opportunities to create new things and solve new problems.

From the beginning, Hot Shops Art Center has been the place where ideas, dreams and ‘what ifs’ are explored, created and shared. Our greatest pride comes from putting sparks in minds of people young and old. Your gift can help us begin, again.
